Author Ray Braithwaite, who lives in Newchurch, has published a new illustrated book for children named A Rather Strange Christmas Day.
This is the story of Father Christmas, who on his way home from delivering the presents fell off his sleigh.
He lands in the garden of a family whose children are furiously opening their presents.
Ray said: “Not many people are aware that Santa must make it home before the start of Christmas night or else the magic of Christmas will be lost forever."
A Rather Strange Christmas Day is an uplifting tale, written in rhyme with wonderful illustrations for children aged three years and over.
Ray is hoping to start a new family Christmas tradition where parents will read the poem to their children on Christmas morning each year.
The book is on sale via Amazon as an e-book for £2.33 and £5 for the paperback version with free postage when you buy two or more copies.
