A further Covid-19 death has been recorded by the NHS on the Isle of Wight, according to one data source.

It shows a death on October 31.

It brings the total number of hospital deaths on the Isle of Wight, since the start of the virus, to 43.

Including deaths in the community (care homes, private homes), the total number of people who have died here is 92.

UPDATE, 5pm: The latest release of NHS England figures this afternoon (Tuesday) shows another hospital death has been recorded on Saturday, October 31 — meaning two covid-positive patients died on the same day.

This increases the total number of Covid deaths on the Island to 93, with 44 registered in hospital.

Meanwhile, more cases of the virus were recorded yesterday (Monday).

An updated total is expected to be released later.
