GODSHILL's popular vegan restaurant, Tansy's Pantry, has reopened under new management with an updated menu boasting both established classics and innovative new plant-based cuisine.

Islanders Jessica Eagle and Rob Potter took the reins from company founders Jaime and Ollie Bennett at the beginning of October.

The eatery officially reopened on Saturday, October 17, with takeaway dishes available for collection.

Jessica, who has a background in both hospitality and retail management, said: "Rob and I began our gradual transition into veganism in 2015, both becoming fully vegan three years ago.

"Our interest in veganism is vested mainly in the welfare of the planet, animals, wellbeing and nutrition.

"We both find the extra thought, consideration and preparation that goes into creating plant-based food fascinating.

"We knew Tansy's already had a fantastic reputation within both the Island and vegan communities, all thanks to Jaime and Ollie. We look forward to building upon the proud legacy they have established."

Rob spent the past decade as a chef at Ventnor's Spyglass Inn, bringing vegan specials to the menu including his own version of 'vish' and chips.

The restaurant is currently running a collection only takeaway service, with Jessica and Rob hoping to offer a sit-in option in time for the festive period.
