The appearance of a wild deer is prompting a warning to motorists on the Isle of Wight.

The Isle of Wight deer farm says the animal's been attracted by its herd.

It tweeted: "We have a wild Sika deer at the driveway of the farm in an unfenced area. He has been attracted by the rut of the red deer (scent from the females and rut of the males). He looks like a Roe deer, with antlers of a small stag."

It's warning Islanders to steer clear of Nunnery Lane, Carisbrooke in case he decides to run from the site.
