CELEBRITY chef, Jamie Oliver, has been waxing lyrical about Arreton's very own Isle of Wight Mushrooms.

Purchasing several boxes full of mushrooms from the Arreton-based business, he posted a video on Facebook, praising the quality.

"I took the liberty of buying myself some incredible mushrooms from the Isle of Wight Mushrooms," said Jamie.

"Jeff MacDonald, who worked for the Isle of Wight Tomato Company years and years ago, is now doing the most spectacular farmed mushrooms — they're absolutely delicious."

Among the mushrooms Jamie ordered were Golden Enoki, King Oyster and Shiitake.

The Island business says its mushrooms are grown primarily indoors, and are available year-round, with only slight fluctuations depending on growing conditions and demand at the time of year.
