MORRISONS staff at the Lake store are raising vital funds for children with cancer to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Staff are holding a gold themed raffle as part of the company-wide fundraising drive for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading charity for young people with cancer and Morrisons charity partner.
During September, £1 will grant customers the opportunity to win a trolley full of groceries worth over £30. The winner will be drawn on September 30.
CLIC Sargent has provided emotional support, financial advice and a safe space for the whole family to turn to in unprecedented times.
Carrie, community champion at Morrisons Lake, said: "We are proud to support CLIC Sargent with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month fundraising.
"Every pound raised helps them support families on the Isle of Wight and around the country at a time when they need our assistance more than ever.
Holli Kellett, Morrisons lead at CLIC Sargent, said: “A huge thank you goes to Morrisons Lake for its fundraising this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
"The support will help us be there for every child with cancer that needs us, now and in the future."
Throughout September, CLIC Sargent is sharing stories of families from across the UK, giving young cancer patients a chance to tell their story.
These can be viewed on the charity’s social media channels during the month.
