Cowes RNLI Lifeboat heading out to help a stricken yacht.
A YACHT which had broken down near to Stokes Bay in Gosport was assisted by Cowes RNLI Lifeboat last night (Tuesday).
The yacht suffered engine failure close to the shingle beach shortly after 9pm, and was initially towed by Gosport RNLI.
The team later handed over to Cowes RNLI lifeboat, which towed the vessel to Cowes shore.
The vessel was later met by Needles Coastguard Rescue Team, who issued safety advice to the skipper.
