A SUSPECTED drug dealer has been arrested after police executed a warrant in Shanklin today (Tuesday).

The South Wight and Newport Neighbourhood Policing Teams forcibly entered the property via a communal door.

Officers raided the residence and arrested a 57-year-old woman concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

A social media post from the Isle of Wight Police said: "Thank you to everyone who sends information our way, we act on as much as we can.

"We are working to ensure your neighbourhoods are safer places to live and work — there is no place for those who are selling Class A drugs on the Island."
