A further three Covid-19 cases have been recorded on the Isle of Wight this afternoon, bringing the daily increase to seven, according to the latest data.

This morning's report confirmed one case was recorded last Tuesday, two were confirmed last Wednesday and was one on Saturday.

This afternoon, a further three cases were added.

It means the number of cases on the Isle of Wight since the pandemic started now stands at 440.

Yesterday (Monday), we reported that a further person had died from the virus.

However, Isle of Wight health bosses said the person actually died in May and the death had just been officially recorded as being from coronavirus.

A total of 88 people have died after testing positive for Covid-19 on the Isle of Wight — exactly 20% of all positive cases — since the start of the pandemic.
