LOCAL charity Isle Access has joined forces with Nosy Marketing to produce a fitness challenge everyone can join in with.

The Isle of Wight Virtual Challenge 2020 is supported by IW Council and Visit IW.

All the daily exercise a person performs — including housework — count towards a virtual journey around the Island, passing well known venues along the way.

A medal is awarded on completion of the challenge, courtesy of Diametric.

The challenge began earlier this month and participants have until December 31 to complete it.

There are options to enter solo or as part of a team, and special arrangements have been made for school classes, care settings and children’s activity groups, such as Scouts, to enter together, combining their activity to earn a group trophy.

Will Myles, managing director at Visit Isle of Wight, said: “We’re delighted to support Isle Access with this amazing project.

"Not only does it appeal to Island residents who want to get fit and support charities, but it is also a great way for tourists who either wanting to explore, or who already love visiting, to have a virtual taste of our beautiful Island.

"Please support this project by competing in it and by spreading the word to family and friends nationwide.”
