Is it not about time that either a councillor or officer of the Isle of Wight Council stepped up and took responsibility for the farcical fiasco that has, and still is, being caused by a floating bridge which is not fit for purpose.

Either the specification was wrong or the manufacturers were negligent and we have a white elephant which is out of commission more than it is running.

Money has been thrown at it but that doesn’t seem of improve the reliability. We can get men on the moon but we seem incapable of having a reliable boat to cross the estuary.

We will soon be having children going back to school and having to crowd on a launch, which must be costing a fortune, and must also be an additional risk with the currant pandemic.

Why does everyone blame other people instead of admitting their own mistake and falling on their sword. It cannot be rocket science and it need sorting out now.
