ANOTHER case of coronavirus has been recorded on the Isle of Wight.

It brings the total number of confirmed cases here, since the pandemic started, to 426.

The case has only just appeared on the records, but was recorded on Friday, August 7.

Two other cases, already reported by the County Press, were recorded on Saturday, August 8.

Before that, two cases were confirmed during the previous weeks on July 27 and 31 — which had been the first in almost a month according to official figures.

There have been 86 deaths in total on the Island, including two announced yesterday.

The Government last month confirmed that anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 should isolate for ten days, rather than seven, to minimise the risk of infecting others.
