TWO more people have died from coronavirus, in Isle of Wight care homes.

The deaths were registered in the week leading up to July 31, 2020.

It brings the total coronavirus deaths on the Island to 86 — including 43 in care homes.

There have been 39 deaths at St Mary's Hospital, three deaths at home and one at the hospice.

The amount of coronavirus cases on the Island stands at 425, with the latest two reported yesterday.

Information about where coronavirus patients live, work, where they have visited or where they were tested, is not available.

The Government has confirmed that anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 should now isolate for ten days, rather than seven, to minimise the risk of infecting others.
