PEOPLE have flocked to beaches and parks across the Isle of Wight today, with temperatures reported to have topped 36c.

Lake was the town with the highest recorded weather, peaking at a sweltering 36.1 degrees Celcius, during a weekend heatwave that saw the British summer embraced on sands across the UK.
