UNIQUE artworks made using British postage stamps will form an exhibition on the Isle of Wight.

The Royal Esplanade Hotel in Ryde is hosting an art show by international artist Gary Hogben.

It will be on from 10am to 4pm over two days — Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26 — and entry is free.

Hogben took up art seriously in 2008, picking up a spray can after a visit to a street art exhibition — "I thought to myself, how hard can that be?"

He started to experiment with stencils and spray-paint, progressed to collage work, and the result over the last few years has been more than 300 artworks, including quite a few commissions.

He now sells all over the world.

His latest art is digital pieces, using scanned British stamps and featuring famous faces.
