A wildlife lover from the Isle of Wight is hoping bio-diversity and natural beauty will be key to extending the Island's tourism season.

Ornithologist Dave Fairlamb has seen a surge of interest both in his website and in his daily online posts, connecting people locked down because of coronavirus to wildlife and nature.

He runs Natural Links - giving talks about nature on the Isle of Wight, running bird walks, wildlife rambles and rock pool rediscovery sessions.

Through the coronavirus pandemic, Dave has been sharing images of birds, butterflies, wildflowers, and mammals.

He says he is also working with Visit Isle of Wight and the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce to capitalise on the recent interest.
