COASTGUARD and lifeboat teams were tasked to Ventnor after receiving a call to help two people in difficulty.
HM Coastguard was called at around 2pm yesterday (Thursday), and dispatched Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue teams to the location on the outskirts of Ventnor beach.
Sandown lifeboat later arrived to assist, with the two men who had been in difficulty subsequently making it ashore safely.
The incident has now been closed.
