WE WILL soon have to cover our faces in shops on the Isle of Wight, in a shift in government policy, with Health Secretary Matt Hancock expected to make an announcement today (Tuesday).
The measures are set to come into force from July 24 and it is understood that fines of £100 will be handed out for those who do not comply.

Children aged under 11 and people with certain disabilities and breathing conditions will be exempt.
Face coverings are already required for those attending hospital and GP appointments.

They have been required in shops in Scotland since July 10.
On Sunday, Michael Gove told the BBC he did not think a similar measure would be necessary in England.
