COASTGUARD and police were called to reports of a missing girl in Sandown this afternoon (Sunday).
At 1.37pm, Bembridge and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams were called to assist police with a search for a missing three year-old near to Sandown Pier.
Before other rescue teams tasked had arrived — including Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175 — the child was found by an eagle-eyed member of the public.
