SOUTHFORD LANE has reopened after a serious crash at its junction with Newport Road, near Whitwell, last night (Wednesday).

Isle of Wight Police said a van and motorcycle collided.
Emergency crews - including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance - were called out just before 9pm.
Road closures were in place on Southford Lane and Newport Road.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was also called to the incident.
At 2126hrs last night IWFRS attended the scene of a serious RTC. This occurred at the junction with Newport Rd and Southford Lane, Rookley. If you saw the collision or have dash cam footage, please call the Police on 101 quoting Operation Overlay @IOWightPolice @HantsPolRoads
