RSPCA Isle of Wight has launched an appeal as it prepares to rehome ten tiny rescued chihuahuas.

More than 60 others have already been found new homes by the charity's staff.

Scores were rescued from a property in Cowes in 2019.

These last few dogs need a range of health and medical procedures including, dentals, orthopaedic and ophthalmic services, says the charity.

They will also need to be spayed and neutered before they can leave the Isle of Wight animal shelter.

The RSPCA, which is based at Bohemia Corner, near Godshill, is aiming to raise £6000 to cover the cost of medical care.

Any extra money raised will help it continue to look after sick, neglected and abused animals.
