COASTGUARD have been called to St Helens this afternoon (Sunday) after a dinghy was reported being blown offshore.

HM Coastguard were alerted at around 3pm, and the incident is ongoing.

The report came in as a small dinghy carrying one person onboard being blown offshore.

UPDATE 3.50pm: 

Bembridge CRT and Bembridge RNLI were both called to the scene, though the latter was stood down en route. 

A dinghy carrying three people onboard who were all wearing lifejackets was blown offshore. 

Upon arrival, the dinghy had already made it safely back to shore with all three casualties reported safe and well.
