FIREFIGHTERS were called to assist the ambulance service with gaining entry to a property in East Cowes this afternoon (Saturday).
At 4.19pm, a single fire engine from East Cowes attended. Firefighters were requested to force entry, over concerns for a person's welfare.
The team gained entry through the use of a non-destructive entry kit, and the casualty was located.
Internal door removal was carried out, and firefighters helped transport the casualty into a waiting ambulance.
Firefighters stood down at 5pm.
