AN ISLAND care home has gone yellow for a day to spread positivity and congratulate carers on keeping quality up and spirits high through the pandemic.

Management staff at the Orchard House Care Centre in Newport spent Monday, June 22, celebrating care staff and all the work they have put in to keeping care quality up despite the pressure.

Gaynor Rhead, general manager, said: “The day was a day of celebration and recognition of how far we have come and how well, we as a team, have managed over the last 16 weeks.

"It shows that a positive mental attitude and an emphasis on effective teamwork will always win in the face of adversity."
