The Isle of Wight's Briddlesford Road is closed this afternoon (Tuesday).
Emergency crews have been called to the scene.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service says it is aware of an incident near Lynnbottom Tip.
The road is closed between the Robin Hill roundabout and Combley Road.
Drivers should avoid the area.

UPDATE 3pm: An Isle of Wight Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.30pm to reports of a collision on Briddlesford Road, Newport, between two vehicles.
"A red Honda Vision motorcycle and a grey Hyundai IX20 were in collision.
"Police and ambulance are on scene, this is an ongoing incident and we don't have more information at this time."
UPDATE 3.15pm: An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said: "Due to an incident on Briddlesford Road, the road will be temporarily closed and the tip will be shut for the rest of today.
"The council apologises for any inconvenience caused."
UPDATE 5.45pm
The motorcyclist has been taken to St Mary's Hospital by ambulance. The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service had one ambulance and two rapid response vehicles in attendance.
