MORE than three weeks after he went missing, there has still been no sign of Matthew Doyle.

The 40-year-old was last seen on Monday, May 25, and was last spoken to by telephone later that evening.

It is believed that he attended Broadway Stores, Totland, at around 7.20pm on Monday evening.

Soon after his disappearance, police conducted searches in the Yarmouth area, along with the Coastguard and Isle of Wight Search and Rescue, after a bag of his belongings were located on Yarmouth Pier.

Isle of Wight Police later put out a public appeal for information and said his family was concerned for his welfare.

They said: "Matthew is described as being black, 5ft 6ins tall, with short black hair.

"If you see him, or think you may have seen him since Monday, please call 101, quoting 44200187527."

On May 29, police issued an appeal for information about four fishermen who were seen locally.

They were described as potential key witnesses.

A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Police said following CCTV enquiries, they were releasing images of four fishermen who they believe spoke with Matthew up until around 1.30am on Tuesday, May 26, on Yarmouth Pier.

Matthew was seen heading down to the jetty, before the fishermen left the area.

Three of the men were later identified, with one remaining outstanding, by June 1.

Today, following an enquiry by the County Press, the police confirmed Matthew is still missing.

A spokesperson said: "Matthew is still missing and our officers are continuing to make enquiries as to his whereabouts."
