THE BBC is reporting this afternoon (Thursday) that the Isle of Wight's test, track and trace app has been abandoned by the government.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
It is suggested the government may switch to one run by Apple and Google instead.
The project, which was being trialled on the Isle of Wight, was supposed to have been rolled out across the country but has been hit by delays.
