W HURST & Son department stores on the Isle of Wight reopened earlier this week, with all six locations once again serving the public.

The company, established in 1859, stocks a diverse product range including household goods, kitchen electricals, power and hand tools, gardening equipment, cooking, dining and gift ideas.

A spokesperson for W Hurst said: "We can confirm all six of our stores have reopened from Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 5.15pm with social distancing measures in place.

"It has been an extremely busy first week back, with everyone observing the in-store guidance and respecting the safety of our staff and customers while shopping in store.

"In addition, we are operating our click and collect service, and people can order from our website.

"If you're looking for the best choice of brands at affordable prices, and good old fashioned customer service, look no further — try Hurst first!"
