LENGTHY queues have been forming outside McDonald's drive-thru in Ryde this evening.
The fast food outlet in Brading Road re-opened to customers earlier today (Wednesday) after several months closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
Since 11am, a flurry of ravenous visitors have headed towards the location, causing a backlog of up to 30 minutes for people using the adjacent road.
Southern Vectis services have also been affected, with routes 2 and 3 facing significant delays.
Routes 2 & 3 - significant delays @ Westridge caused by queues for McDonalds Drive-Thru. Buses currently running up to 30mins behind time. Queuing traffic at a standstill in this area.

It seems that those hoping for 'fast' food tonight may instead be subjected to a lengthy wait.
