AS coronavirus lockdown rules start to ease, Islanders have told the Isle of Wight County Press that they have noticed a rise in the amount of litter at beauty spots - even a discarded PPE mask.

We have been hearing about worsening rubbish on dog walks at Newport Chalk Pit and overflowing bins on Seaview seafront. Meanwhile, an abandoned camping kettle and other rubbish near the monument at Hamstead beach and hand wipes on Highdown, Totland are getting Islanders angry.

Beer bottles have been left at Totland Turf Walk and there has been a rise in bags of dog waste, we have been told.
