AN ISLE of Wight based support group is continuing to offer services during the coronavirus pandemic.

Socialising Buddies — run by managing directors Mark and Charlotte Kelly — supports a range of clients, offering individual and group activities, in addition to cultivating life skills such as cookery and money handling.

During lockdown all but three of the company's 18 employees have continued to work alongside clients with learning disabilities and additional needs.

Mark said: "We have now done more than 250 free shopping trips, with clients sending us their lists for us to collect and deliver to them, all of which we do with health and safety measures in place.

"Morrisons in Lake has so far donated three full trolleys full of food and beverages, which we add to the shopping to allow those we work with some additional supplies during a time when many are struggling to collect groceries.

"We felt we had to do something to support our local community while times are so challenging, and would invite anyone who feels this may benefit them to get in contact."
