TWO people have been pulled from The Solent by the crew of a Red Funnel car ferry and brought to shore on the Isle of Wight, this morning (Saturday).
HM Coastguard says it was alerted to two canoeists in difficulty off Calshot at about 9:45am.
Red Eagle launched its rescue boat to bring the pair to safety.
Bembridge Coastguard met Red Eagle when it docked in East Cowes at around 10am.
They have been transferred to the care of the Isle of Wight ambulance service.
