THE Isle of Wight NHS Trust has confirmed that 35 patients who tested positive for coronavirus on the Island have been treated and discharged from hospital since the outbreak started.

The number of hospital patients who have died after testing positive with the virus on the Isle of Wight is also 35, according to the latest figures.

There have been fourteen other deaths in the community.

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust would not confirm the number of people currently being treated as inpatients at St Mary's hospital, but said it 'remains low.'

The total number of cases of COVID-19 on the Isle of Wight since the virus began is 185.

New figures are expected to be released later this afternoon.
