Youths across the South Wight will be climbing a Cumbrian mountain whilst still in isolation — all from the comfort of their own homes.

Islanders are raising money for South Wight Area Youth Partnership and Foodbank by marching up and down their stairs at home to the equivalent steps of climbing Scafell Pike, in the Lake District.

Voulenteers are taking sponsorships in order to keep SWAY going as it supports young people and families across the South Wight.

Andy Dorning, lead youth worker said: "Its great fun for those taking part and for those following the challenge.

"It’s just like the groups are still meeting with young people having fun together reaching across a wide rural rather than being isolated’.
