DOES anyone have unwanted laptops, tablets or dongles?

The federation of Yarmouth CE Primary School and Shalfleet CE Primary School are hoping some donations could help their children at this unprecedented time.

Families without access to laptops, ipads or the internet, who are trying to educate their children at home during lockdown, are struggling.

The children can't connect and see the faces of their teachers and access online learning.

The schools are appealing for donations of unwanted items from the following list:

Laptops — must be working, with no broken plastics, damaged screens or power cables.

Tablets — working, with no broken screen, and complete with charging leads.

The items can be dropped off at Yarmouth Primary School from Mondays to Fridays during term-time between 10am and 2pm.

ICT team Wightsupport have offered to refurbish the items for free.

Any items that cannot be used for the children will be given to Digital Recycle, which shares profits with the Footprint Trust.
