AROUND one hundred bags of compost have been stolen from a garden centre in the West Wight.

The targeted brand is not believed to be on sale anywhere else on the Isle of Wight, which the business's owners hope will make it more easily identifiable.

Honnor and Jeffrey on Afton Road, Freshwater, says it has reported a break-in to police and is reviewing CCTV footage.

More than one and a half pallets worth of 'Levington Original' compost went missing in the early hours of this morning (Friday) and padlocks were broken.

Hampshire Constabulary said if you have any information, call 101 and quote reference '235' and 22 May 2020.
