COASTGUARD Rescue teams from Ventnor, Needles and Bembridge were called out to Priory Bay last night (Friday).
The teams, accompanied by a Bembridge RNLI rescue boat and ambulance team, carried out a technical rescue, assisting a man who fell down the cliff adjacent to the beach.
A spokesperson for the Solent Coastguard Rescue team said: "Coastguard Rescue teams from Ventnor, Needles and Bembridge received a call at 5.56pm regarding a fallen person at Priory Bay.
"Ambulance services located the casualty, who had fallen onto rocks from a height. The Coastguard Rescue teams, along with an RNLI inshore lifeboat, assisted with the extraction shortly after arriving at the scene."
