ISLE of Wight Police made two arrests on suspicion of cannabis cultivation yesterday morning (Wednesday).

Officers arrested one man from Niton and one from Rookley.

Police have now appealed to the community to report anyone they suspect to be in possession of the class B drugs by following the link here.

Those found guilty of cannabis possession can receive up to five years in prison, an unlimited fine or both. People found guilty of supply and production may receive up to 14 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire Constabulary said: "A 54-year-old man from Rookley was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.

"A 49-year-old man from Niton was arrested on suspicion of producing a class B drug.

"Both men have been released from custody but remain under investigation — this follows the discovery of two cannabis cultivations in the south of the Island."
