ONE couple who were due to be married before the coronavirus crisis hit, decided to make it a day to remember anyway.

Carolyn Ward and Keith Ruth were due to wed on Saturday, May 9, but their plan were grounded.

Instead, they did a 'Not Our Wedding Day' run, dressed in wedding attire and decorations including balloons and garlands.

They ran 10k around Ryde 10am, with fellow runners cheering along the route, giving them support and the odd socially distanced selfie.

The couple said: "We were overwhelmed that so many wanted to wave and cheer us on with our 'Not Our Wedding Day' run.

"Thank you all so much for your kind words. We had a great run."
