POLICE had a pursuit with a Jaguar on the Isle of Wight today.

The driver of the silver car dumped the vehicle and ran off, leaving the car to be seized by police.

Isle of Wight Police said: "One of our neighbourhood officers had a pursuit this morning with a Jaguar in Freshwater.

"The driver dumped the vehicle and ran away. A quick message to the driver — to save you an unnecessary journey back to collect it, we’ve got it."

The vehicle has been seized and collected by Stag Lane Motors.
