DUE TO the partial re-opening of Lynnbottom Tip next week, a temporary one-way restriction is being brought in for Briddlesford Road.

A 30mph speed restriction is also being added.

As reported yesterday, the tip is re-opening for people with pre-booked slots on Monday. There are a number of restrictions of what can be taken along — including no general waste in black bags.

Island Roads, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, is bringing in a one-way restriction on Briddlesford Road, from its junction with Gravel Pit Lane to its junctions with Long Lane, in a north to south direction.

On-street signage will depict the exact time the restriction will come into effect.

The diversion will be signposted locally and will affect Long Lane, Staplers Road and Whiterails Road.

The restrictions are to allow safe access and the management of traffic to and from the Civic Amenity Centre.
