A MURAL in homage to the original Isle of Wight pop festivals is taking shape — after two years in the making.

Sculptor Guy Portelli is celebrating the iconic festivals of 1968, 1969 and 1970 and the detail is extraordinary, as the video below shows.

The mural features the handprints of many of the performers at those festivals.

Wightlink has supported the project by providing Guy with travel, and as a thank you, he has included one of the vessels on the mural.
