THE founder of the Isle of Wight Project:Opera company is offering online tutorials during lockdown.

Annalisa Vaughan has sought to find alternative means to entertain and offer support to the Island's community via a series of deep breathing and vocal tutorials shared through both the group and her personal social media platforms.

Annalisa said: "It has been a period of change and learning for most of us, with cancellations of classes and concerts. We will, of course, let you know once we are back to normal.

"Meanwhile, most of you may have noticed I have taken to live streaming breathing and vocal exercise classes on Facebook.

"Having seen how helpful deep breathing has been to people I've taught over the past two years, it is very close to my heart to share the simple message of how to breathe deeply and with ease.

"Regular breathing and light vocal exercises are essential towards building up muscle memory to help you manage respiratory health and anxiety, so important during these uncertain times.

"All past and future videos are visible on my personal Facebook page. For those not on Facebook, I have am have recorded an introduction video which is on YouTube. I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you again."

Annalisa will begin weekly YouTube live streaming sessions starting this Friday morning at 11am.

The videos are free to view and aimed at helping people prevent and manage respiratory problems.

She has urged anyone finding the uploads useful to share them with others they believe would benefit.
