ISLE of Wight Festival organisers have released a special edition T-shirt to raise funds for WightAID's coronavirus crisis appeal.

All profits from T-shirt sales will be distributed by WightAID and other Island charitable trusts to non-profit organisations tackling the crisis.

New fund tackles coronavirus emergency on Isle of Wight

The event's organisers have offered the support of the Isle of Wight Festival family to the local community shortly after an announcement stating the 2020 instalment will not take place.

Geoff Underwood, founder of WightAID said: “We are extremely grateful the Isle of Wight Festival family has joined us at this critical time.

"The Covid-19 crisis is affecting the Island community in many unfortunate ways and their support to our crisis fund will ensure the most critical charities get the support they need.

"I would like to extend a big thank you to the Isle of Wight Festival.”

Festival organiser, Caroline Giddings, said: "The Isle of Wight Festival is proud to support WightAID and the wonderful work they do in raising much needed funds for the vulnerable within the community.

"We hope people will buy a T-shirt to help this charity initiative and look forward to seeing everyone again in 2021.”

The special edition T-shirts can be pre-ordered now from shop.isleofwightfestival.com/
