A WHITE tailed sea eagle has been spotted over Andover in Hampshire — but it is not believed to be one of the Isle of Wight ones.

It was spotted by the Hawk Conservancy Trust, who captured a video of it flying overhead.

They said: "Just watch this beautiful white-tailed sea eagle soar above the trust — such a glorious sight.

"Turn the sound on to hear how excited the team were, with commentary from Ben and Gary from our bird team.

"The excitement is comparable to the first time we saw red kites return to our Hampshire skies.

"We've spoken with the white-tailed sea eagle reintroduction project and it's not one of their eagles.

"We're trying to find out more details of where it may have come from and will share those with you if we are able to find out more."

Six sea eagles were introduced on the Isle of Wight last summer.

One is known to be living in Oxfordshire among the red kites, one went missing and one has died.

At the last update, three were still residing on the Island.
