FIREFIGHTERS were called to a garden fire in Newport this afternoon that saw an outbuilding go up in flames.
Crews from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to a home on Staplers Road outside of Newport at 4.40pm.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We were called to a fire in a 8x3 metre outbuilding in a garden.
"We sent two pumps from Newport and a third from Ryde.
"The crews put out the fire and left the scene at 5.47pm."
