AN ISLE of Wight musician has released a catchy, topical track — after all his gigs were cancelled due to coronavirus.

Steve Love, of Ryde, has released his song, entitled My Coronavirus Hoard is All Made on the Isle of Wight — and the charming song has already garnered more than 47,000 Facebook hits.

Steve typically writes and performs chirpy, up-beat songs about the ups, downs and quirks of Island life, and the song isn't a far cry from his previous work.

"Ferries, buses, Mermaid Gin, pubs, DFLs, festivals, old hippies, fishing, potholes — if I can make a song out it, I do," said Steve.

The newest track features Island products, including Mermaid Gin, Island beers, Adgestone Wine, Godshill Orchards jam and Grace's Bakery.
