From Keith Hook, Wootton:
I WOULD like to bring to your readers’ attention a situation in IW planning guidance, namely that planning applications are granted where the land for development in question is “adjacent” to the development envelope.
I fear this practice will give rise to developments of a considerable size well outside the development envelope for a given area. Either the development is inside the area or outside.
Who decides what is adjacent and how far away to be considered adjacent?
It may be advantageous to Island development if this wording was removed from planning guidance.
