THE Met Office has warned of further bad weather following storms Ciara and Dennis.

Forecasters have told Islanders to expect more high winds and heavy rain, though not as bad as before, throughout the coming weekend.

Flood and wind warnings have been put in place across the UK.

The Isle of Wight is expecting a reasonably mild 11 degrees with a chance of rain.

Chief forecaster at the Met Office said: “Storm Dennis has long gone, but the legacy of high water levels and saturated catchments remain.

"Although the forecast for the next few days indicates that conditions won’t be as severe, any additional rainfall could create further challenges as river catchments are more likely to respond to extra rainfall more quickly.

"Flooding, especially in areas already heavily affected, remains a possibility."
