THE Isle of Wight is being urged to get its kit off — and something more sporty on — for Sport Relief.

Residents are being encouraged to slip into something sporty — to raise money and awareness for issues such as homelessness, domestic abuse, mental health stigma and child poverty.

Sport Relief returns on Friday, March 13, bringing the UK together to get active and raise life changing amounts of money through the power of sport.

The money raised by Sport Relief supports people living incredibly tough lives in the UK and around the world.

Among the names already revealed for BBC One's Sport Relief are stars including Rio and Kate Ferdinand, Ellie Simmonds, Harry Kane, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Max Whitlock.

BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw has been named as the first of eight celebrities who will tackle a four-day triathlon challenge on a frozen lake in Mongolia, and sprinter, Dina Asher-Smith, has designed an exclusive tote bag to raise funds with Sainsbury’s.

Olympic gold medallist, Max Whitlock, has also joined forces with sports stars Ellie Simmonds, Harry Kane and Jessica Ennis-Hill to launch this year’s official Sport Relief range, sold exclusively in Sainsbury’s and selected Argos stores.
